Friday, May 7, 2010 On
Saturday May 1st, after 2 days of non-stop studying for my final exams,
I took a break for the evening to attend Irving Healthcare Foundation’s
TexasFest Gala. It was held at Eddie Dean’s Ranch in Dallas.
When
Alex and I arrived we were greeted by a lady who had actually lived in
Irving her whole life and competed for the title of Miss Irving many
year ago! She was very excited to meet me and tell me about her
experiences with pageants. |

Tuesday, December 15, 2009 Happy Holidays from Miss Irving 2010The
holidays are a special time of year when so many reach out into the
community and do small acts of kindness to help others. People help in
many ways including donating money to a charity, spending time serving
food to homeless at a food kitchen, donating items to a food pantry, or
buying a toy for a boy or girl who would otherwise not receive a gift. I
believe that it is these acts of kindness and selflessness which
characterize Christmas and that makes it my absolute favorite time of
year. |
